Trudeau warns of “buzzwords and dog whistles” following Poilievre’s victory

on Monday speaking in New Brunswick, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau congratulated Pierre Poilievre on becoming the leader of His Majesty’s Loyal Opposition.

Trudeau then launched an attack criticizing politicians using “buzzwords, dog whistles, and careless attacks” adding, his party would continue to call out “questionable, reckless economic ideas.”

“We all need to work together. Now is not the time for politicians to exploit fears and to pit people one against the other. As you all know, the Conservative Party picked a new leader over the weekend. I want to congratulate Mr. Poilievre on becoming the leader of His Majesty’s Loyal Opposition,” said Trudeau. “We’ve been making every effort to work with all Parliamentarians, and we will continue to do so.”

“This doesn’t mean that we’re not going to be calling out highly questionable, reckless economic ideas. What Canadians need is responsible leadership. Buzzwords, dog whistles and careless attacks don’t add up to a plan for Canadians. Attacking the institutions that make our society fair, safe and free is not responsible leadership. Telling people they can opt out of inflation by investing their savings in volatile cryptocurrencies is not responsible leadership.”

According to Trudeau, anyone who had taken Poilievre’s recommendation would have had their “life savings destroyed.”

“Fighting against vaccines that saved millions of lives, that’s not responsible leadership. Opposing the support and investments that have helped save jobs, businesses, and families during the pandemic, that’s not responsible leadership,” Trudeau continued.

It’s not clear which leadership Justin Trudeau means for the ones “Fighting against vaccines”, because if he means any political leadership that is “anti all vaccines”, there isn’t any. There is leadership that are fighting against vaccine mandates which a completely different thing.

Trudeau was on a French talk show where he gave a divisive speech calling Canadians “racist”, “misogynists” and “fringe minority”

During the entire pandemic Justin Trudeau has exploited peoples feelings and even campaigned on Canadians fear of Covid during 2021 federal election, which Trudeau failed to gain a majority government.

Earlier this year, Liberal MP Joel Lightbound said he believes his government has divided Canadians in recent months, particularly on vaccination status, reported BC Rise.

“I can’t help but notice with regret that both the tone and policies of my government changed drastically on the eve and during the last election campaign,” he said.
