No logic in BC healthcare worker COVID-19 shot mandate rationale

The facts are not in favor of the BC NDP Covid jab mandates for healthcare workers.

The mandatory emergency Covid shot order was sold as a way to “stop the spread” of Covid-19. The provincial health authority and BC NDP government was so sure of “the science” it secretly posses it even posted a news release on August 23, 2021 at the launch of the BC Covid vaccine passport claiming it will “stop the spread“.

The Purolator ruling is just another decision in a series of evidence stacking up against Dr. Bonnie Henry and the BC NDP mandatory Covid-19 jab regime. The case reviewed studies of transmissibility and Covid-19 policy from across Canada and specifically that of British Columbia.

In September 12, 2022 BC’s Public Health Officer Bonnie Henry released a Public Health Order saying “an unvaccinated person is more likely to become infected than a vaccinated person and is more likely to transmit SARS-CoV-2 than a vaccinated person.”

“the provision of care or services by an unvaccinated person in a hospital or community care setting puts patients, residents, clients and other workers at risk of infection with SARS-CoV-2, and constitutes a health hazard under the Public Health Act;”

The same type of language continues to appear and is present in the last updated Public Health Order on April 6, 2023.

“an unvaccinated person is more likely to become infected than a vaccinated person and is more likely to transmit SARS-CoV-2 than a vaccinated person”

“The provision of care or services by an unvaccinated person in a hospital or community care setting puts patients, residents, clients and other workers at risk of infection with SARS-CoV-2, and constitutes a health hazard under the Public Health Act”

After reviewing evidence submitted which included a mix of studies that agreed with the mandate and more studies with better evidence that concluded Covid-19 vaccination status didn’t affect the transmissibility of Covid-19.

Glass disagrees with Bonnie Henry’s vaccine mandate “I must conclude that this statement is an outlier. It is wholly inconsistent with the preponderance of material I have been presented with.”

In September 2023, at the “Launch of Respiratory Illness Vaccination Campaign” Dr. Bonnie Henry knew the Covid shots wane over time and the injections didn’t prevent the transmission of Covid. She advised people to get another jab but without mandating healthcare works to get the “updated booster” which makes the order illogical because healthcare workers were all jabbed 2 years ago and the shots provide no protection after the first 60 days of injection.

The BC Health Minister Adrian Dix often just echo’s the BC Public Health Officer Bonnie Henry. During the media conference Henry tried to explain her rationale behind keeping the Covid-19 mandates for the initial shots but not mandate boosters.

Bonnie Henry took a couple minutes just to say the vaccine provides immunity and you’re considered “protected” if you get the initial shot, but neglected to define what protected means to her. Her entire rationale makes no sense.

According to the public health order from April 2023, Bonnie Henry is concerned about transmission of Covid-19 in healthcare settings. The wording of the order assumes anyone presumed “unvaccinated” is an automatic carrier and transmitter of Covid-19.

Before the BCCDC removed the dashboard displaying statistics of Covid infections by vaccination status, it clearly showed Dr. Henry’s concern was invalid considering the majority of cases, hospitalizations and deaths were in the so-called “vaccinated” individuals which logic tells us the so-called “unvaccinated” were no more of a risk of transmission than the ones so-called “vaccinated” against Covid-19.

In the case against Purolator, it was made clear that the presumed “unvaccinated” individuals pose no heightened risk to the public than the so-called “vaccinated” individuals.

British Columbia is the only place in Canada that continues with the Covid-19 mandates whereas other provinces and territories have recognized the presumed unvaccinated are no greater risk to the public than the “vaccinated”. In 2024 BC still imposes Covid vaccine mandates on anyone that works in the healthcare settings, not just healthcare professions but also includes janitors, security, contractors etc…..

This could only mean one thing. The continued Covid-19 vaccine mandates in healthcare settings is purely political and appears to have become a political identity for the BC NDP and a way to control the healthcare industry.

Thousands of healthcare workers were fired and more pushed into early retirement.

An inquiry needs to be opened as to why this illogical Covid-19 vaccine mandate still exists. It would be interesting to watch real democracy in action and have Public Health Officer Bonnie Henry, Health Minister Adrian Dix and Premier David Eby put on the stand and record to defend in a debate their vaccine mandates against opposing experts, which has never happened through the entire pandemic.

The vaccine mandate needs to be dropped and all the workers that were fired need to be rehired and given retro pay for their inactive time. All healthcare workers that don’t want to come back should also receive compensation for being fired over Covid-19 mandates that destroyed their careers and livelihoods.

If the BC government and BC health authority could provide a good coherent health argument backed by data to support the mandates that would be a different story. But as it stands they currently have no good argument.
