“will not revisit that decision, period.”
Jason Kenney, Premier of Alberta has already made it clear that his province will not be in any talks with the federal government to make vaccinations mandatory for citizens of Alberta.
This statement from Kenney came just a short time after Canada’s health minister Jean-Yves Duclos announced they will be talking to Premiers of the Provinces about forcing vaccinations on all of their citizens. See our article Compulsory vaccination for everyone likely coming soon to Canada, says federal health minister
Just one hour after the news broke on CBC Jason Kenney took to Twitter and tweeted. “Alberta’s Legislature removed the power of mandatory vaccination from the Public Health Act last year and will not revisit that decision, period.”
Hold on though vaccine supremacists, this doesn’t mean Jason Kenney is anti vax or supporting a anti vax movement. He has been clear in the past about it not being about the vaccine but about freedoms and privacy. Again in this Tweet we can see that same message where he denounces mandatory vaccination because freedom of choice but encourages people to get the vaccine.
“While we strongly encourage those who are eligible to get vaccinated, it is ultimately a personal choice that individuals must make.”
