City of Kamloops lifts employee vaccine mandate

The City of Kamloops is lifting their vaccine mandate for city workers and contractors.

Effective April 9, 2022, existing and future vendors do not need to provide vaccination passports.

The vaccine policy isn’t cancelled it’s suspended just incase they need to use it in the future.

“With the easing of restrictions from the Provincial Health Officer and the City’s low absentee rate due to COVID infection, the City is suspending our vaccination policy as of April 9, 2022.” The city announced

On December 15, 2021, City of Kamloops employees, contractors, and volunteers were required to be so-called “fully vaccinated”.

Any employees that didn’t obey the command to get “full vaccinated” had one other option, unpaid “leave of absence” with and threatened with “adverse employment consequences”.
