Update: man reported to be unlawfully at large located

The police have released a statement to update the public, the inmate, Mustafa Sa’Ada “who was reported to have escaped lawful custody” has been located and arrested on January 14, 2022.

The inmate that ran from Surrey Pretrial Services Center on January 13, 2022 was spotted in Vancouver by a citizen that reported the tip to Vancouver Police Department.

He was located on West Hastings Street near Carrall Street by Vancouver Police and was taken in to custody.

On January 13, the inmate was being processed for release and fled the pretrial reception area after finding that his release were not met and that he would be staying at pretrial.

“Surrey RCMP would like to thank the Vancouver Police Department, Integrated Police Dog Service, Air One, BC Corrections, the media and members of our community for their assistance with locating the inmate.”
