Prince George RCMP arrest known offender in liquor store theft

n Thursday, June 2, 2022, shortly after 4:00 p.m., Price George RCMP received a report of a theft from a liquor store on the 4100-block of 15 Avenue. Witnesses stated the suspect attempted to leave the store with a concealed bottle of liquor.

Police obtained the suspect’s photo from the security cameras at the location and quickly identified the man as a known offender, as police are familiar with him. The suspect was located shortly after 9:00 a.m. on June 3, less than 24 hours after the offence occurred.

This is a good example of our police officers using their knowledge of repeat offenders to quickly identify and arrest a suspect, states Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.

The man was released on an Undertaking with a future court date. The file remains under investigation.
