One man in hospital with serious injuries from shooting in Surrey’s Whalley neighbourhood

A man was shot early on Wednesday in the Whalley neighbourhood of Surrey, and was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Shortly before 2:30 a.m. police say they received calls reporting a fight broke out in the 13100-block of 104 Avenue near a convenience out between two people and one of them got shot.

When officers arrived on scene a 44-year-old man with gunshot wounds was discovered and quickly transported to the hospital.

The investigation has been turned over to the Surrey RCMP General Investigation Unit. Police think the victim and the shooter know each other. They say that after a fight between the two people, one man was shot.
