Homicide investigation team search large rural property in Surrey

A search warrant was executed by the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team at a rural proerty.

According to a police statement, on Tuesday January 10, 2023 a property was secured by police in the 18200-block of 83 Avenue. Police say they will be at the property for the next few days because of the size.

“Due to the size of the property, there will be a large police presence over the next few days as we continue to process the property,” said IHIT spokesperson Sgt. Timothy Pierotti.

“At this time, we can’t say to which file this is relating, as we need to protect the integrity of the investigation and respect the privacy of those involved.”

IHIT, Surrey RCMP, the Integrated Police Dog Service and RCMP Integrated Forensic Identification Section are all participating in the search.
