One man arrested and released by Prince George RCMP pending drug trafficking investigation

Prince George RCMP’s Street Crew Unit, in their continued effort to combat drug trafficking in the City, executed search warrants under the Controlled Drug and Substance Act at the end of May, resulting in a significant seizure of drugs and drug trafficking-related paraphernalia.

During the investigation, two residences were identified with possible associations to drug trafficking. A search warrant executed at a residence on the 2400-block of 15 Avenue resulted in the seizure of a firearm and suspected cocaine. The second search warrant, executed at a residence on the 4000-block of Richet Street, resulted in investigators seizing more suspected cocaine and fentanyl as well as a large quantity of cash.

In total, over 500 grams of cocaine, 100 grams of fentanyl, body armor, multiple firearms and approximately $20,000 in cash were seized by police.

One man was arrested in connection to this file; he was released pending the full results of the investigation.
