Female youth bear sprays 2 other youths in the mall

At approximately 1:50pm, on July 13, 2022, Emergency services were called to the Willowbrook Mall in the 19700 block of Fraser Hwy in Langley, BC after reports were received of bear spray being deployed inside the mall.

Police determined that two youths were bear sprayed following a verbal argument which occurred inside the mall near the Foot Locker Store. The female youth suspect fled the scene after spraying the victims. The parties involved are known to each other and police believe this to be a targeted incident.

The victims were treated by BC Ambulance Service and are recovering from the effects of the bear spray.

Willowbrook Mall was temporarily evacuated as numerous patrons were feeling the effects of the bear spray. The Mall has resumed normal business.
