One woman arrested for armed robbery in Sahali

A woman is in custody following an armed robbery in Sahali

On July 5, 2022, around 10:05 p.m., Kamloops RCMP frontline officers responded to the 1200-block of Summit Drive, where a woman allegedly attempted to leave a store with unpaid merchandise, then produced a knife when an employee tried to stop her.

A description of the suspect was provided to responding officers, who were able to locate her hiding in a bush nearby, said Corporal Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson.

The suspect was also wanted on an unendorsed warrant and was arrested for that as well. She was held in custody and is scheduled for court today.
