Federal NDP leader Singh says Liberal government not transparent with Covid-19 decision making but quiet on BCNDP Covid secrecy

Last week Singh was asked about the Covid-19 negative testing for people traveling to Canada from China he said he will wait on the guidance from experts.

On Wednesday, Jan 4,2023 a reporter asked a follow up question they asked Singh a week prior when he said he will wait for the guidance from the experts. Health professionals and experts have since weighed in for a week about mandatory Covid-19 negative test for travel being completely useless.

In response Singh said the Trudeau Liberal government “haven’t been doing the best job with being transparent” about Covid-19 decision making when he was asked what he thinks about the governments decision to require negative Covid-19 tests from travels coming to Canada from China.

New Democrat Party Leader Jagmeet Singh criticized the Trudeau Liberal government for being too secretive with its Covid-19 decision making despite the BCNDP’s Covid-19 decision making being shrouded in secrecy.

“This is one of the things we have been finding in general with the approach of this government is they haven’t been doing the best job with being transparent with what the evidence is and what the recommendations are from the experts and the decisions being taken.”

Singh said it is important for the government to be transparent and provide rationale for the experts reasoning and evidence otherwise people will lose trust in the government.

“And the reason why that is so important is that when we don’t have transparency and we don’t have the public health experts providing us with the reasons – the government providing that rationale of the experts providing that reasoning then people start to lose trust.”

“So I would encourage the Prime Minister and the government to ensure that every decision we are making is backed up by the evidence and the advice of experts. And when it’s not. We need to be very clear then its not the best evidence we’re receiving or its not the guidance from public health experts that we’re receiving. “

“And this is an ongoing critique i have of the government.”

“When we don’t have that evidence based decision making or the experts reasoning that’s being presented by the government. Then the government starts to erode the public trust in decisions being made and that’s a problem.”

When Omicron hit the scene, skepticism became widespread that the Trudeau Liberal government was using “the best science” with their Covid-19 decision making and restrictions because Covid-19 was spreading everywhere no matter what a person’s vaccine status is.

The decision to impose the travel mandatory Covid-19 vaccine was was based on zero supporting data or evidence.

It was learned later the science was political science. Released court documents in regards to a charter challenge against the travel Covid-19 vaccine mandates showed testimony the government was never recommended to impose travel Covid-19 vaccine mandates by PHAC or Health Canada.

Since the court challenge the Trudeau government removed the mandatory Covid-19 vaccine restriction and requested the courts to toss the court challenge out as being “moot” because “there is no more” Covid-19 travel mandates. But just recently Covid-19 test just came back and the vaccine passport requirement could still come back.

To this day the Trudeau Liberal government neglects to show the public “the science” they referred to for all their decision making.

BC NDP Covid secrecy

The Code of Silence Award for Outstanding Achievement in Government Secrecy in the provincial category was won in 2021 by Premier John Horgan of British Columbia, Minister of Citizens’ Services Lisa Beare, and the provincial government of B.C.

Last month, December 2022, the BC government released its “COVID-19 Lessons Learned Review” in which it highlighted the BC NDP have been lacking transparency with their Covid-19 decision making and Singh hasn’t said a word.

“many did not understand why decisions were made, leaving a vacuum to be
filled with distrust and misinformation. Better explanations would help allay that.” the report said.

“Even some people inside the health-care system told us that they did not understand why some decisions had been made.”

The report came to the conclusion that the Public Health Officer must properly support decisions by outlining the goals of any restrictions that are implemented or withdrawn, resolving any apparent discrepancies, and reviewing the supporting data while being more transparent about decisions that affect public health.

The Covid-19 secrecy within the BC NDP was known about before the review took place. In March 2022, Tim Shoults with the NewsMedia sounded the alarm about the BC NDP’s withholding public information.

“Our members find the complete government control of information and the narrative around the pandemic to be concerning.”

Shoults also shared these concerns in a committee meeting with the government.

Several other journalists have also spoken out about the BC NDP and their obsession over total control of information and “excessive COVID-19 secrecy.”

Since the start of the pandemic, British Columbia’s Health Minister BC NDP Adrian Dix and Public Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry were combining all the cases of people in the hospital from Covid and with Covid (also known as incidental cases).

A journalist filed an Freedom of Information request for “all opinion polling and research conducted by the province on COVID-19, and/or the pandemic and/or public health measures” from Sept. 2, 2021 to May 2, 2022. While the request garnished 428 pages, 423 of the pages were completely blacked out.

As early as January 2021 Dr. Henry knew about these vaccine injuries. Doctors and other healthcare professionals from across the province were contacting Dr. Bonnie Henry and reporting patients with vaccine injuries.

Dr. Bonnie Henry neglected to inform the public about the risks of Covid-19 vaccines and the risk benefit analysis. She also neglected to inform the public that British Columbia residents suffered Covid-19 vaccine reactions ranging from anaphylaxis, blood clots, strokes and death.

Despite Dr. Bonnie Henry knowing about the injury risks of the Covid-19 vaccines she imposed a zero tolerance mandatory Covid-19 vaccine policy for all healthcare workers, BC Public Services employees including contractors and volunteers. To this day Dr. Henry still hasn’t shown “the science” or explained the rationale of the reasonings for continuing with the mandatory vaccine policy. Unelected Premier David Eby and BC Health Minister Adrian Dix are ramming through legislation to make mandatory vaccination law with no exceptions for government and public services jobs.

No double jab, no job. The Covid-19 vaccine policy is about to become law with the BC NDP proposed legislation Bill 36 Health Professions and Occupations Act
