At a press conference on Thursday, Jagmeet Singh, the leader of the New Democrats, railed at Conservative politicians for meeting with members of the Freedom Convoy.
In his remarks, Singh said that the Freedom Convoy’s goal was to “overthrow” the Trudeau government.
“What I’m concerned about, is when elected officials are supporting clearly false things. It’s clearly true that vaccination is healthy and keeps people healthy and it has saved lives,” he said.
“Supporting views that vaccination is dangerous, which are completely unfounded is problematic and is not something that should be supported.
“When we look at the convoy specifically, people can have different viewpoints and that’s healthy… But the convoy, we want to be very specific, and the occupation of Ottawa, they had a very clear mandate and a specific goal. They posted it on their website, and they repeated it in a number of press conferences, and their goal was to overthrow the democratically elected Parliament. And that’s not something that we should be supporting…
“To be advocating for the undemocratic overthrow of Parliament is clearly wrong. It’s not something that public officials or elected officials should be supporting, so those are deep concerns.
“What happened in Ottawa, to be very clear, was harassing citizens, intimidating people on the streets, causing lots of discomfort and pain to people by making noise at night, disrupting families and children, and not actually doing what a protest should do, which is to target government decisions or to target the government. This was harassment of citizens, and it was wrong, and people were hurt by it. Small businesses were hurt by it, families were hurt by it,” he said.
“That’s not something that should be supported by elected officials, because it was harmful and hurtful to people.”
Jagmeet says the Conservatives are pushing misinformation about vaccines by falsely claiming the Conservatives say vaccines are dangerous when in fact the Conservative Party of Canada is only saying they support freedom of choice and don’t support vaccine mandates. Recently through an Freedom of Information request, we have discovered email chains with Dr. Bonnie Henry discussing B.C. residents that have suffered from adverse reactions including anaphylaxis, blood clots, strokes and death from the Covid vaccine.
Dr. Monika Naus of the Disease Control Centre advised Bonnie Henry in an email on March 11, 2021 that B.C. had higher rates of anaphylaxis connected to vaccines than the Canadian and US averages.
Jagmeet Singh is known around the world as a Khalistani-terror sympathiser.
According to the globe and mail Jagmeet Singh, the leader of the NDP, participated in a pro-Khalistani seminar in 2016 and even advocated using political violence as a “legitimate form of resistance” to establish an independent Sikh nation in India.
While Singh was only an NDP member of the Ontario legislature, in June 2015 Singh attended a Khalistani-terror sympathiser rally in San Francisco which “which had featured a large poster of Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale, the Khalistani terrorist, who led an armed movement against India and had occupied the Golden Temple.” according to opIndia
In 2021 Jagmeet has also been accused of coordinating a campaign to defame India internationally pushing anti-Indian propaganda with Rihanna.
