The City of Quesnel’s new RV park is opening for business

The City of Quesnel’s new RV park will be open for business starting on May 1, 2023. The RV park is named Quesnel Downtown RV Park & Campground and it’s located at the old public works site at 21 Johnston Bridge Loop.

The campground has 14 serviced campsites, 3 unserviced campsites and 3 tenting campsites. Some of the serviced campsites will be 30 AMP and some will be 15 AMP electrical service including water hook-ups.

The unserviced sites have no hook-ups but feature flat gravel pad for RV’s, tent trailers, truck and campers

The tenting campsites have no service and feature a gravel pad to pitch your tent surrounded by grass.

The city says picnic tables will be at each campsite.

Campers will be able to stay up to four days in a row. Campfires aren’t allowed but propane powered fire pits, BBQs, hibachis, and camp stoves are permitted.

The City of Quesnel is Located in the central interior of British Columbia. The city spent 203 thousand dollars on the campground which is one project from the City of Quesnel’s new waterfront plan to attract more tourism to the city.

The project was funded by grants from the provincial and federal governments and Northern Development Trust.

“The Waterfront Plan presents an aspiration vision of a future where the rivers that define the community are accessible, enhanced, celebrated and integral to the economic success of the City.” it states in the Quesnel Waterfront Plan.
