West Kelowna RCMP arrest a man and woman for armed robbery

The West Kelowna RCMP has arrested a man and woman for an armed robbery that occurred last week.

At 11:00 p.m. on March 3, 2022, West Kelowna RCMP officers responded to a report of an armed robbery that had occurred at a business in the 1100-block area of Stevens Road in West Kelowna. A male suspect allegedly entered the store at closing and brandished a firearm, threatening two employees, states Cpl. Tammy Lobb, Media Relations Officer for the Kelowna Regional RCMP. The suspect then robbed the store of an undisclosed amount of cash and merchandise before fleeing.

As part of the on-going investigation, West Kelowna RCMP officers executed a search warrant at a hotel in the 1500-block area of Highway 33 in Kelowna on March 10, 2022. Police officers with the Kelowna RCMP Target Team and Southeast District Critical Incident Program (SED-CIP), Emergency Response Team also assisted in the search. A man and woman were arrested without incident and the investigation has been submitted to the Public Prosecution Service of Canada for consideration of charges.
