Wanted 39-year-old man arrested by Fort St. John police

On December 15, 2022 the Peace Region Crime Reduction Unit with assets from Fort St John RCMP, Dawson Creek RCMP and North District RCMP General Investigations Section requested the assistance of the public in locating a 39-year-old man who was wanted on multiple warrants from both BC and Alberta for: Breach of Probation (2 counts), Flight from Police Officer (2 counts), Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle (2 counts), Drive Motor Vehicle while Unauthorized (3 Counts), Possession of property Obtained by Crime and Fail to Stop while being Pursued.

On January 12, 2023, Dawson Creek RCMP received a report of a suspicious vehicle in a rural area. When police attended the area, the 39-year-old man fled on foot into the bush.  The man was later taken into custody with the assistance of the Peace Region RCMP Police Dog Service unit and arrested on his warrants. 

The man was held in police custody for court.
