Police look for robbery suspect

The Kamloops RCMP Detachment is turning to the public for help identifying a suspect in a recent robbery.

On Nov. 10, 2022, around 10 p.m., Kamloops RCMP frontline officers attended a commercial location on Seymour Street, where a man brandished a knife, then fled westbound on foot with cash and cigarettes.

Despite extensive police patrols, the suspect was not located, said Corporal Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson. Since the initial response, officers have obtained surveillance footage and are distributing an image of the suspect in hopes of furthering the investigation.

The suspect was described as:

  • male
  • gruff voice
  • approximately 5’5
  • medium build
  • wearing a full red face mask, black hoodie, black pants, and gloves with fluorescent yellow on them

If you are or recognize the suspect, please contact the Kamloops RCMP Detachment at 250-828-3000 and reference file 2022-40530.
