Armed robbery: Kamloops man in custody

A Sunday morning report of a theft involving a firearm has one man facing robbery charges.

On Nov. 20, 2022, around 5:20 a.m., Kamloops RCMP frontline officers were called to a storefront on the 600-block of Seymour Street where a man allegedly stole items, then produced what appeared to be a firearm when confronted by staff.

Police obtained a suspect description and relayed it to officers on patrol, said Corporal Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson. A suspect was located near Battle Street and 3rd Avenue within minutes of police attendance and was quickly arrested without incident.

Noel Albert Larkin, 26, of Kamloops, is charged with one count of robbery. He appeared in court yesterday and was remanded in custody until his next appearance, scheduled for Nov. 28.
