Police investigating violent break-and-enter

On Wednesday, August 24, 2022, shortly before 2:00 a.m., Prince George RCMP Frontline Police officers attended the 1300-block of Kellogg Avenue for reports of a break-and-enter and potential shots fired.

When police officers arrived at the residence, they determined that a 35-year-old man had been shot during an altercation in the home. The victim had already been transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police subsequently arrested a 38-year-old man in connection with the shooting.

The victim and the suspect are known to one another and investigators believe this to be an isolated incident. The suspect will remain in custody until he can attend court later today, states Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.
