Knife wielding man arrested 2 times in 1 week. Robbery and threatening security guard

A man that was arrested last week for flashing a clever at a grocery store worker over a mask dispute was re-arrested police said on Friday.

Cody Echlin, 23, was arrested Thursday for allegedly threatening a security guard with a knife, police said in a news release.

A security guard asked Echlin to leave the private property near Burrard and Helmcken streets.

“The suspect presented a knife to the security guard and threatened to stab him” Police said in their new release

Police say Echlin has been charged with breaching his release order. Adding he has been released pending his next court date

The previous incident happened on Monday, Jan. 3, at the IGA grocery store on Robson Street, near Richards Street.
