IHIT seeking any information in Langley homicide

On March 29, 2022 at 12:10 pm, the Langley RCMP were called to a wooded area in the 7400-block of 208 Street in Langley, BC. Langley RCMP front line officers attended and located a 29-year-old deceased man, of Langley.

Based on the early findings of the investigation, this does not appear to be a random act.

IHIT is in the early stages of the investigation and the area surrounding the scene will be cordoned off for the remainder of the day.

IHIT investigators continue to gather evidence and complete priority tasks with the support of the Langley RCMP, the LMD Integrated Forensic Identification Section (IFIS) and the BC Corners Service.

I want to assure the public that IHIT is well-resourced for all our recent investigations, says IHIT spokesperson Detective Corporal Sukhi Dhesi. We have the support of our specialized policing partners, Lower Mainland Integrated (ITeams), and our dedicated homicide investigators.

We are asking anyone with information about this murder to contact IHIT Information Line at 1-877-551-IHIT (4448) or by email at ihitinfo@rcmp-grc.gc.ca.

We’re asking readers, like you, to make a contribution in support of BC Rise's fact-based, independent reporting.

Unlike the mainstream media, BC Rise isn’t getting a government bailout and fully independent. Instead, we depend on friendly support of Canadians like you.

A media outlet cannot remain neutral and fair if they have special beneficiaries or government handouts.
