Justin Trudeau Liberals
there is no statement or campaign promise made to help support Canadian veterans and Justin Trudeau has never thought about them.
Jagmeet Singh – NDP
NDP is calling for speedier times for veterans to receive their benefits. Currwntly they can be waiting up to 6 months as per the Ndp platform.
Erin O’Toole – Conservatives
By the looks of it there is no official statement het. Past history shows Erin O’Toole shut down multiple veterans services while serving as veterans affairs official to pay large bonuses to officials.
People’s party of canada
Before 2006, veterans injured or disabled during military service received a tax-free lifetime disability pension under the Pension Act. It was removed in 2006. PPC wants to bring the tax free benefit back for veterans.they also want to simplify the system and make it easier to navigate.
Reinstate the fair disability pension as previously provided for by the Pension Act. The pension will apply retroactively to 2006 and lump sum payments received since then will be treated as advance payments.
