VPD investigates Mount Pleasant homicide

Vancouver – Vancouver Police are investigating the city’s seventh homicide of the year, after a man died in hospital earlier this month.

VPD officers responded to reports of an assault near East First Avenue and Main Street at 4:30 p.m. on June 2. Scott Carver, 56, was taken to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and died.

A 61-year-old man has been arrested. Investigators believe the suspect and victim knew each other.

The file remains under investigation. Charges have not yet been laid.

Vancouver Police Department’s Major Crime Section is investigating, and anyone with information is asked to call 604-717-2500.
