Sword attack in Vancouver’s DTES sends man to hospital

A 34-year-old man was stabbed multiple times by a suspect with a sword, according to Vancouver police.

The assault occurred near Main and Hastings, and the victim was taken to the hospital, according to Vancouver police. He is expected to make a full recovery.

They didn’t specify where the sword came from or what kind it was.

Despite the fact that no arrests have yet been made, police say they have identified the suspect and the person is known to police.
