Suspect arrested and one man in hospital following early morning Burnaby stabbing

A man was stabbed early on Friday morning and rushed to the hospital as the police made one arrest.

Burnaby RCMP officers were dispatch to a reported stabbing

Officers were dispatch to the reported stabbing near the corner of Kingsway and Griffiths around 2:15am where they found a man suffering from stab wounds which led to the arrest of another man.

The RCMP say victim that was taken to hospital is in stable condition. Police believe the 2 men are known to each other. An investigation is on going at this time with officers still on scene.

A photo from this morning shows police on the side walk with yellow police tape surrounding the parking lot to a property with hair salon and Korean BBQ restaurant are located. The police were putting markers down on the ground to indicate where blood is on the side walk.

The sidewalk is currently shut down while the police conduct their investigation.
