RCMP identify victim in fatal stabbing

Prince George RCMP has confirmed the identity of the victim from Saturday’s fatal stabbing as 28-year-old Devon Lindstrom.

Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the victim at this time, states Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.

Background

On June 11, 2022, shortly after 5:00 a.m., Prince George RCMP received a call for service at a commercial dwelling unit on Queensway. Police received information that a man had been stabbed.

Upon police and ambulance arrival at the location, a man in his thirties was found suffering from life threatening injuries. He was transported by B.C. Ambulance Service to hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Police will remain at the location while the Serious Crime Unit along with Forensic Identification Services conduct their investigation. Police believe this is a targeted event and there is no increased risk to the public.

Investigators are not releasing the name of the victim.

The investigation remains ongoing.
