The Kamloops RCMP Detachment is turning to the public for information on a robbery with a firearm on the North Shore last night.
On Sunday May 29, 2022 at approximately 10 p.m., Kamloops RCMP frontline officers responded to the 300-block of Tranquille Road, where a man in possession of a firearm allegedly walked into a store and demanded cash and products.
Afterwards, the man walked northbound on Tranquille Road with two green bags and the firearm in hand,
said Constable Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson. We’re hoping someone saw something or captured an image that can help police further the investigation.
Officers, including the Police Dog Service Unit, attended the area but were unable to locate a suspect.
The suspect is described as:
- Caucasian male in his 30s
- Thick brown eyebrows
- Approximately 6’1
Clothing description:
- Black hoody
- White shirt hanging out the bottom
- Green baseball cap
- Ski mask
- Blue or grey pants
- Camo gloves
- In possession of a firearm
The man is believed to be associated to a dark sedan that was parked nearby during the duration of the robbery.
