One person has been taken to hospital with serious non life threatening injuries after a reported shooting. The incident occurred at approximately 8 PM on Thursday July 7, 2022, outside a residence in north Nanaimo.
Numerous officers responded to the incident. The injured person, a man in his early 30’s, was treated at the scene by attending BC Paramedics then transported to hospital. Police spoke with several witnesses who observed the suspect flee in a vehicle.
There were no other reported injuries and from information gathered to date, this appears to have been an isolated incident
