Man arrested for robbery

A Kamloops man is in police custody awaiting court, following a report of a robbery in Sahali.

On Aug. 3, 2022, around 2:30 p.m., Kamloops RCMP frontline officers responded to a retail store on the 900-block of Columbia Street West, where a person suspected of stealing allegedly produced a weapon when stopped by an employee.

Officers located a suspect matching the description nearby and quickly arrested him, said Corporal Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson.

Parmvir Singh Nagra, 27, of Kamloops, is charged with one count of robbery. He is scheduled for court later today.
