Kelowna Police Officer injured with a knife

On March 27, 2022 at 12:18 AM, A Kelowna Officer was dispatched to a disturbance in the 1000 Block Ellis St, Kelowna. Shortly after arriving, the Officer requested immediate assistance after becoming injured from a stab wound.

Multiple Officers arrived to assist which resulted in the arrest of the suspect. Both the Police Officer and the suspect where transported to Kelowna General Hospital. The Police Officer suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries, while the suspect suffered non- life threatening injuries.

Our officers face danger and difficult circumstances each and everyday in the service of this community. Tonight, I am grateful for the incredible work they did in supporting each other and responding to this event. Our thoughts remain with the officer and their family. Said Insp.
