Homicide team (IHIT) investigating after 2 people found dead in Richmond from gunshot wounds

Shots were fired in the 7000-block of Ackroyd Road in what seemed to be a targeted shooting, according to the RCMP.

While dining at the adjacent White Spot on Saturday, Clayton Burns was shocked by a flurry of police and emergency cars that rushed the roadway.

Police were called to the scene at 11:03 a.m. on Saturday, according to the Richmond RCMP. When police and paramedics arrived, the victims were dead, apparently from gunshot wounds.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team is investigating.

“Anyone with information regarding this investigation, including anyone who may have been driving in the area at the time and have dashcam footage, can call the IHIT information line at 1-877-551-IHIT (4448) or by email to ihitinfo@rcmp-grc.gc.ca,” said police.
