Two people arrested for Mischief at Trans Mountain Pipeline demonstration

On Wednesday May 11, just after 11:00 a.m., Burnaby RCMP frontline officers responded to a report of approximately six demonstrators in the 8600-block of Commerce Court, near a Trans Mountain worksite.

Two women jumped the fence and accessed the Trans Mountain worksite. The two women were arrested for Mischief and released.

At this time, the two individuals are not facing criminal contempt charges, said Cpl. Mike Kalanj with the Burnaby RCMP. However, Mischief charges will be forwarded for both.
